ZENIS (“the Company,” “we,” “us”) acknowledges the importance of protecting your personal information and strives to protect it in accordance with the following policy:

  1. Compliance with laws and regulations
    We will be compliant with laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines established by various government agencies in Japan.

  2. Data collection
    We will collect information about you in a fair and lawful manner.

  3. Data usage
    The data we collect will be used solely within the scope of the purposes outlined below, or other purposes disclosed or made public, including but not limited to:
    (i) Communicating with you, providing services, fulfilling contracts, and for administrative purposes required by the Company.
    (ii) Providing information, sending materials, and promoting goods and services related to our services as a part of engaging in business activities, including: (a) translation and proofreading; (b) production of websites, print materials, and other media; (c) operation of websites; and (d) general support for academic collaborations and coordination.
    (iii) Researching customer trends and conducting analyses to improve our services.

  4. Management of data
    We will manage the personal information you provide to us and take appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, tampering, and other security risks. However, there may be situations where individual(s) or organization(s) launch cyberattacks to compromise your personal information. In such cases, we will handle the situation appropriately.

    (iv) When it is necessary to cooperate with national institutions, local governments, or their commissioned parties in carrying out tasks stipulated by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent may hinder the execution of such tasks.

  6. Disclosure, correction, deletion, and suspension of use of personal information
    When we receive requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of personal information from you, we will verify your identity and respond appropriately.

  7. Implementation, maintenance, and improvement
    In implementing this policy, we will review our processes with respect to protecting personal information and implement improvements when necessary.
